The long months ahead

A warning for future unemployed persons, it may best to avoid asking the question “how long did it take you to find a new job.” The answer won’t comfort you. If I wasn’t into being rational about being unemployed, I’d stricken it from my list of informational interview questions. Lucky for everyone else I’m a glutton for truth.

Right now I’m told, on average, it takes at least three months in a good economy and in this current economic state it could be as long as six months.

Granted every job and state is going to be different but I’d rather be prepared. It’s been a truth-inspired start to the week. I may be asking for boxes of Franken Berry cereal to get me through it.
