Laid Off Camp: NYC style

My cool-unemployment-kid card may have been revoked. So what? I can still help out my fellow unemployed friends and bloggers, right? So when Matt wrote me and asked me about my experience at Laid Off Camp SF, a.k.a my fantasy version of space camp, — minus the leaving Earth thing — I was more than happy to oblige and offered to help spread the word.

So NYC kids I know you had an awesome time with the 405 bunch, but here’s another chance to rub elbows with the elite fashion totes of 2009, you, the unemployed of the Big Apple on May 1 and 2nd. Yes — for the only time I will ever admit it and only in this situation — you NYC kids are cooler than the rest of us. You have two days to explore everything that is Laid Off Camp. While we watch How I Got into College and remember the times when our biggest issues was whether or not Jordan Catalano really cheated on Angela Chase, you’ll be spending two days learning that unemployment is not the end — just a path you didn’t see before.
