Good at life: taking the afternoon off

It’s a bright and shiny day in San Francisco. I’ve been doing some basic research for the job I’ll be interviewing for. I’m reading up on the company, looking at competitors — really I’m beginning to build a SWAT analysis. Yay SWATs! They make me happy like when I create a matrix.

I’ve been talking to other unemployed friends and I decided it’s time to take advantage of this unemployment holiday. I don’t know how long I’ll be unemployed for — my hope is less than six months — but I don’t want to have any regrets about not taking full advantage of my time.  So as part of my trademark good at life mantra,  I am taking the rest of today off. Tomorrow I’ll be super charged and ready to complete my analysis.

I don’t know where I’ll be in a month, but today I’ll be the cool kid outside exploring the city by foot. I’ve got my old converse, my iPod and a bright and sunny day.  I’m avoding the ocean today — it’s more of a dancing in the street kind of hour anyway.  Just try not to hit me when I skip the crosswalk doing my best Jagger strut.
